What was your baby eating at 8 months old?

My daughter will be 8 months on July 9th. She loves oatmeal cereal mixed with formula....She very seldom will eat baby food... Like today she ate a jar of bananas and for supper she had a half jar of green beans... She'd rather have formula and cereal......Was your babies like this? My oldest daughter wasnt.. she loved eating everything.. lol!.. I read someone else's reply to someone and she said her 8 month old is eating food that her (the mom) is eating!!.. I tried to give my almost 8 month old mashed potatoes and she acts like she has a hard time swallowing them??
