9 month old frequent bowel movements?

My 9 month old was constipated the other day so I gave him some juice and he pooped 2-3 times and now today when he had his first bowel movement he had some hard pebbles and then the second one he had a couple more then he was fine it was just smooth from then on and he pooped 6 times today is this normal?
