Diff between Storm and Clone troopers.?

I know that the clone troopers are clones of the bounty hunter fett and that the storm troopers are regular people but why exactly are they so similar? clones helped the good guys in episode 3 and storm help the bad guys after that but why are their costumes so similar? and what happen to the clones after episode 3? do they all die out or something?
