Fruit flies and the temple of the forgotten crock pot?

I had the same problems but it was from where my hubby had cut a watermelon , i got everything cleaned up butu they were still there and so I poured some vinegar in 2 small bowls and sat one bowl on one counter near the sink and another on another counter and it got rid of them , they hate the smell of vinegar , I do also but it was well worth smelling teh vinegar to get rid of those darn fruit flys
