Has anyone had a MFM or think about it?

I am male and my significant other and I have been talking about trying a MFM . We have a good idea who we want to do it with and we think he will be game. The question is ....Is the reality as exciting as the anticipation. What is the most exciting thing about it for the guys and the woman? Does it make it more exciting if the guys got into some bi activity?
