Need to ask a Lebanese christian question?

My partner has been invited to a Lebanese christian wedding. He has been told that the gift to give is money. He is fairly close to this guy who is getting married so, how much money should he give? Aussie dollars would help but i will try to convert your currency if you can please specify. Is there any other acceptable gifts to give? Thanks.
